WILLIAM LE LACHEUR-INSPIRED FOOTBALL SHIRT DESIGN COMPETITION

AFG organises a football shirt design competition to celebrate the legacy of 19th-century seafarer William Le Lacheur, who introduced football to Costa Rica. The competition is open to all the local schools and hundreds of submissions are received. The theme is the best football shirt ever, with decorative features from Guernsey and Costa Rica. The 18 winning designs are printed on real football shirts and displayed like fine art on mannequins

UNDERWRITING OF THE PRODUCTION COSTS OF THE CHRONICLES OF SARNIA

AFG underwrites all the production and development costs of The Chronicles of Sarnia, a theatre play written by Tin Whistle. The production is professional and 100% local. The play is a great success with more than 3,000 schoolchildren seeing the play for free, and a popular success with the local population. The risks that AFG takes will prove critical for the future of Tin Whistle, which has since established itself on the Guernsey cultural scene

Arts For Impact delivers a groundbreaking design in the PEH x-ray room with a double medical remit to lower the stress level of users and encourage youngsters to stay still, so x-rays don’t need to be retaken. A tremendous success!

EUGEN GOREAN IS INVITED TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND MOLDOVAN NATIONAL TV COVERS HIS RESIDENCY IN GUERNSEY

Eugen is invited by the European Parliament to display his art inside its walls, showcasing his recent visit to Guernsey. He is interviewed by national Moldovan television on his recent residency and exhibition in Guernsey.

JAKE’S BEDROOM DELIVERED

Jake is a local boy unable to attend school because of a challenging heart condition, forcing him to be close to the hospital all the time. Arts For Impact decides to improve his daily life by decorating his bedroom with his favourite hero characters, tremendously boosting his morale and sense of wellbeing. AFG makes a donation to finance this project.

EUGEN GOREAN DONATION TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE GUERNSEY CHESHIRE HOME

Workshop at the Guernsey Cheshire Home, where Eugen paints one of his famous peacocks in 20 minutes in front of the residents and donates the artwork. AFG pays for the framing and also for the framing of the collective artwork done by the residents. AFG and the GCH start a long-standing collaboration.
