The Chronicles of Sarnia goes on stage for a week at the Princess Elizabeth Performing Arts Centre, a great popular success and key milestone for the track record of Tin Whistle

CHARLIE BUCHANAN FILM-MAKING WORKSHOP

Charlie Buchanan runs a workshop with a group of children selected by the Youth Commission, they make a shadow movie to promote the opening of the children’s library at the Guille-Allès Library

CHARLIE BUCHANAN – INVASION OF THE WAVELETS

AFG curates Invasion of the Wavelets, an art exhibition of book illustrations and watercolours from Charlie Buchanan. AFG also uses this exhibition to promote the latest children’s book from Charlie and Magnus Buchanan

Arts For Impact delivers mural artworks for the Le Marchant Ward at the PEH, specially designed to stimulate service users’ physical activities and happy memories. AFG and Generali sponsor the installation 50/50

Dmitri runs a plein air workshop at the harbour for all the finalists of the Sovereign Art Foundation competition and selects the two recipients of the AFG Royal Drawing School scholarships

ART FOR GUERNSEY 3 DIMITRI PERMIAKOV

Art for Guernsey 3 – an exhibition of oil paintings, with proceeds from sales going to good causes, community engagements with the artist (school visits and workshops). Attracting 2500 visitors, it’s a resounding commercial success and is almost sold out

AFG sponsors Notes to Islanders by Sian Jones, a display of outdoor art including positive mental health and tolerance messages to islanders

AFG is one of the main sponsor of Magical Days, involving thousands of schoolchildren engaging in all sort of creative activities for three days at Saumarez Park

GUERNSEY CHESHIRE HOME – THIRD SUMMER ART PROJECT

AFG arranges funding for all the costs of the eight-week collective art project at the home, with outdoor visits twice a week, resulting in a collective artwork to be displayed during Art for Guernsey 3

LAUNCH OF THE MURAL PROJECT AT BLANCHELANDE COLLEGE

AFG arranges for a series of large murals to be painted Blanchelande College’s art centre. They relevantly depict the ethos and key curriculum values of the school. AFG sourced the funds from a private family and commissioned Arts For Impact to deliver the mural. Consequently, the entire marketing material of the school, and its reward system, are transformed. This is a great example of how an art project can align with school values and trigger positive changes on the curriculum from the inside

COUNTRY LIFE COVERS ART FOR GUERNSEY

Country Life takes an interest in Art in School, our Cultural diplomacy programme and the loan that AFG made to Prince Charles for Prince and Patron, as ‘The Where That Was’ is curated by the Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace

ROSANNE GUILLE – FROM LIFE

AFG sponsors and curates From Life, an art exhibition showing the art of Rosanne Guille, a Sark-based artist

UNDERWRITING OF THE PRODUCTION COSTS OF THE CHRONICLES OF SARNIA

AFG underwrites all the production and development costs of The Chronicles of Sarnia, a theatre play written by Tin Whistle. The production is professional and 100% local. The play is a great success with more than 3,000 schoolchildren seeing the play for free, and a popular success with the local population. The risks that AFG takes will prove critical for the future of Tin Whistle, which has since established itself on the Guernsey cultural scene
