Each year, Art for Guernsey awards four local art students with a life-changing one-week scholarship in London, all expenses paid, spending each day with a different professional artist.
Together they visit museums and galleries and engage in studio workshop activities, to open the students’ minds, and hone their skills in a variety of techniques and mediums. The students learn directly on a mentoring basis from some of the most successful artists in the fields of printmaking, drawing, street art, painting, sculpture and more. To complete this unique experience, the students are hosted in a flat in central London, with all tuition fees, accommodation, transportation and pocket money expenses covered on this equal and inclusive once-in-a-lifetime transformational opportunity.
